Dairyland Outdoor Veterans Retreat is a nonprofit organization that provides a wilderness retreat for vets by vets. We happily open the campground to the public, whose reservations help fund our mission.
DOVR is a community, in which all are welcome. It’s our small way of giving back to the brave men and women who have served this nation.

Resting deep in the Wisconsin wilderness, the DOVR campground the perfect spot to escape the noise of modern life.
We welcome both veterans and civilians to visit. With stunning views and ample wildlife, DOVR is a must-see for all nature-lovers.

With rising use of EVs please refer to our EV charging policy: Keeping the outdoors clean is important for DOVR however, Charing Electric Vehicles is STRICKLY PROHIBITED Our current electrical pedestals were originally designed for non-continuous loads typical of today’s RV usage, and therefore simply cannot support EV charging. Plugging your EV into a traditional 50-30 amp campground pedestal could permanently damage your vehicle as well as the campground’s electrical system.
If a charging converter was provided by your auto manufacturer, it does not change the way electricity flows within the campground’s electrical infrastructure and should not be used to connect your EV to our campground pedestals.
Violators will be directed to immediately unplug their vehicle and are subjected to any damages/and or asked to immediately leave the campground without refund
The closest EV Station is 30 miles north at the ECE Office at 3617 Baumgartener Superior WI for FREE charging
